Infrastructure Plans
Hood River Middle School is included in the City of Hood River's Safe Routes to School Plan, which includes 30 infrastructure recommendations to make it safe and convenient for students to walk or bike to school.
In 2023, the City and School District partnered to install a 3-month demonstration on 18th, 17th and May Streets. Part of that project is now permanent! -
80s Walk & Roll Club
80s Walk & Roll Club was inspired by movies of the 1980s like Goonies and E.T. and the current show of Stranger Things. All these shows feature free-range, problem-solving kids riding bikes or blazing trails in the woods.
Students will gain more confidence in biking while subversively learning traffic etiquette, empathy and laws. We listen to music and have fun.
5th to 8th graders welcome. Offered year around.

Education
