Parkdale Elementary
Education and Infrastructure

  • Infrastructure

Parkdale Elementary has 2 exciting opportunities to plan for safer walking and bikeways for the students:

    1. Oregon DOT Safe Routes to School planning process for the County, beginning in January 2026.

    2. The County won an ODOT Safe Routes to School engineering grant to design the missing 4th Street connection to the school.

    Email megan.ramey@hoodriver.k12.or.us to get involved.

  • Bike and Walk Rodeos in PE Class

During the Spring, all grades will get to ride bikes with Mr. Dixon! Thanks to his passion, he applied for a grant and bought balance bikes so the students could learn.

Mr. Dixon designs courses to make it fun and build confidence in biking.

Megan Ramey will join him for the kinder and 5th grade classes with the District's fleet of bikes.
